Our WordPress Training Course is a comprehensive and interactive online course designed to get you up and running with your website building techniques in the shortest time possible.
Taught by a WordPress trainer with decades of experience, our nine module online course, taught live and on a one-to-one basis, will show you everything you need to know to master this powerful software and get you building websites with confidence.
Please bear in mind that not only is this a comprehensive training course, but it is in many ways an online coaching course as well, as our trainer is there to help guide you thorough the process of realising your online ambitions, and is available to help answer any and all specific questions that come up during the course. There are no generic videos to watch, or diatribes of text to wade through - just instant answers from an industry expert with decades of experience.
Our WordPress training course is currently presented in the form of nine modules, each dealing with a specific area of WordPress:
Beginning with an overview of WordPress, we examine the software's pros and cons, and how WordPress compares alongside other Content Management Systems currently available. We discuss the true potential of the software (not the hyperbole) and what the software is, and is not good for, with plenty of advice from a trainer who has decades of hard-won hands-on experience using WordPress to build websites.
A comprehensive discussion of hosting follows, with a look at what type of web hosting is best required to run WordPress. This module is followed by a step-by-step discussion of the best way to install the software, including many tips and shortcuts that will get you working efficiently from day one.
A full tour of the software follows, with hands-on exercises specifically designed for you to start getting to grips with the software, followed by a discussion about many of the powerful plugins that exist to enhance and extend functionality, with a specific focus on some of the most useful and reliable plugins currently available.
Then it's time to dive into building headers, footers and template themes for your website, and what better tool to use than the excellent Oxygen Builder, the award-winning design plugin for WordPress.
Our process of web building continues, using a combination of both Oxygen Builder and the Gutenberg WordPress editor, with a number of recommended Gutenberg plugins recommended and explained. Finally we complete our website, and in the final module discuss various methods by which we can launch the website to the public.
