Noting the runaway success of video services such as YouTube, Google Video and Dailymotion amongst others, it is nowadays well acknowledged in the advertising industry that nothing comes close to the effectiveness and persuasive power of a well produced video message. Yet mastering the various methods of creating and deploying quality web video is a dark art to some. Our video course changes all that.
In this detailed and comprehensive course, you will first learn all about Web Video - the formats, sizes and methods of creation. From codecs, software tools, and the principles of encoding and deployment, with a particular emphasis on creating, preparing and producing quality Flash Video (i.e. video produced using Adobe Flash) this course covers all of the basics, and many of the advanced processes needed to master Flash Video. In addition, we examine the functionalities of HTML 5 for deploying video content and how this compares with Flash.
The usage and configuration of Flash media players are covered in detail, including how to source, setup, customise and 'skin' pre-built video player components and scripts to your optimium advantage. Comparing the results of progressive downloads against streaming servers are also discussed and some of the methods you can employ to best evaluate your present and future video hosting and streaming requirements.
Finally, a variety of video marketing techniques are examined and discussed with a view to demonstrating how you can best take advantage of existing video networks in order to promote your message. All in all, a comprehensive and exiting course which will enable you to deliver the best possible experience with Flash Video.

Software Versions: All of our Adobe courses include lessons generic to CS3, CS4 and CS5 versions of the Adobe suite: whichever version you use is covered in detail. Our Apple training courses utilise Final Cut Studio HD (also known of as version 3 or FCS 2009).
Equipment: Our fully featured training room includes six top-of-the-range iMac computers configured to work in both Macintosh (OSX) and PC (Windows) modes, ensuring you the maximum familiarity with your chosen operating system.
