Fremantle Media - online photographic 'contacts sheet' gallery system
TV Production company Fremantle Media requested us to build for them a special online web based system that would allow them to send via email 'contact sheets' of images to prospective customers.
This required the creation of a system that would allow not only for the upload and automatic indexing of images, but provide a kind of 'shopping basket' type selection process wherein the administrator could search for and select images (using a variety of criteria) adding them to the basket as they go. Low-rez versions of these images are then sent as an HTML email to the chosen recipient. The system has shown itself to be extremely robust, and has been running in faultless operation now for several years!
In addition to the system itself, we also developed a number of utilities for image manipulation and import, developing several scripts to talk to Fremantle's already existant image catalog and software.
